Dr. Timothy D. Verny

Dr. Verny founded Hawthorne Dental & Braces with a focus on quality dental care, superior patient care and affordability of dental and orthodontic care for everyone. He is a Bruin for life, having earned both graduate and undergraduate degrees from UCLA and UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Verny specializes in restorative dentistry and orthodontics. He often coordinates patient care among multiple specialists in the practice. Outside of work, Dr. Verny enjoys tennis, reading, hiking, and spending time with his family. Dr. Verny is a fan of all sports, enjoys watching sports on TV and attending various sporting events. He works as a clinical instructor at UCLA School of Dentistry and is an active member of several professional organizations.

Dr. Jonathan R. Shadi

Dr. Jonathan R. Shadi

Dr. Jonathan R. Shadi was raised in the Los Angeles area and earned his B.S. in Neuroscience with honors from UCLA. He received his DDS from the USC School of Dentistry, where he was named to the Dean’s List multiple times and received the John Ingle Research Award. He completed an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship at the VA Hospital in Long Beach, followed by his residency at UCSF Fresno. Dr. Shadi now practices in the Greater Los Angeles area and maintains hospital privileges at UCLA Santa Monica. He specializes in wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, and IV sedation, with a focus on safe, precise care.

Dr. Talia Shainhouse

Dr. Talia Shainhouse Lebovitz is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, specializing in implant dentistry, cosmetic periodontal procedures, and the treatment of gum disease. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and DDS from the University of Toronto before completing her post-graduate training at NYU College of Dentistry. She then advanced her specialty training in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at NYU’s Ashman Department. Dr. Shainhouse is a clinical instructor at the UCLA School of Dentistry and an active member of several professional organizations. She is committed to providing precise, patient-focused care with a strong emphasis on long-term oral health.

Dr. Karena R. Craemer

Dr. Karena R. Craemer was raised in the South Bay and graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCLA. She earned her dental degree from UCSF, where she graduated with honors and participated in orofacial research. Dr. Craemer continued her training at NYU College of Dentistry, where she completed her specialty certification in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She has since been practicing in the Los Angeles area, providing orthodontic care for both children and adults. Dr. Craemer is an active member of several professional organizations and is committed to delivering personalized, high-quality care. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling.

Dr. Yamini was born and raised in Los Angeles and brings a patient-centered approach to delivering high-quality dental care. He earned his bachelor’s degree from UC San Diego, a Master’s in Global Medicine from USC, and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University. Dr. Yamini is dedicated to combining precision, modern techniques, and attention to detail to create healthy, lasting smiles. He focuses on providing a comfortable experience while helping patients feel confident in their care. Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, camping, and staying active, as well as supporting the Los Angeles Lakers.
